Sacha Baron Cohen has revealed the alarming things he was told by two Republicans while filming Borat 2.

The actor, who returns as the comedy creation in a brand new sequel, moved in with a pair of Trump supporters where he had to stay in character for five whole days.

Despite pulling off several high-profile stunts, including a controversial skit involving Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani, Baron Cohen says he found this one most challenging.

Masquerading as Borat, he moved in with two male Republicans, telling them he was in need of a place to stay during the pandemic.

Baron Cohen told The New York Times that these men told him disturbing “facts” they believed about Trump's former political opponent, Hillary Clinton.

One of these conspiracy theories included: “Hillary Clinton drinks the blood of children.”

Speaking about his experience, the actor said: “It was the hardest thing I had to do. I was waking up, having breakfast, lunch, dinner, going to sleep as Borat when I lived in a house with these two conspiracy theorists.”

“You can’t have a moment out of character.”

Last week, it was revealed that Baron Cohen decided to make his real identity known for the first time during a particularly sensitive interview while shooting the new film.

Borat 2 will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video from tomorrow (23 October). Find our verdict on the film here.
