Bolton registers sweep of winless East Windsor

Oct. 23—Seven is usually a lucky number, but 13 was as well on a Friday for Caleigh Sheehan of the Bolton High girls volleyball team.

Sheehan recorded 13 kills and seven aces the Bulldogs rolled to an NCCC sweep of East Windsor. Game scores were 25-8, 25-11, 25-15.

Jaylani Falcon (7 kills) and Maddy Hills (5 kills, 3 aces) also starred for Bolton (11-6). East Windsor (0-10) was led by Melanie Ramos (1 ace, 4 digs) and Julia Clayton (2 kills, 3 digs).

East Windsor is at Ellington Monday, the same day Bolton hosts Windham Tech.

RHAM 3, NEWINGTON 0. In Newington, Lauren Feige had 36 assists while Ally Hadley added 16 digs and 10 kills in No. 4 RHAM's CCC interdivisional sweep. Game scores were 25-8, 25-16, 25-21.

Sarah West added 13 kills for the Raptors (16-1), who have won 15 straight. Lani Fecho (6 kills, 10 digs), Zoe Parkinson (7 kills, 5 blocks) and Leah Bahamonde (18 digs) also starred.

RHAM is at Enfield Monday.

MANCHESTER 3, HARTFORD PUBLIC 0. In Manchester, Olivia Ramsdell (7 kills, 3 aces) and Chelsea Vasquez (5 aces, 2 assists) led the way as the Red Hawks recorded the CCC interdivisional sweep. Game scores were 25-14, 25-14, 25-20.

Manchester hosts East Hartford Tuesday.

GLASTONBURY 3, WETHERSFIELD 1. In Glastonbury, Kiley Feeney had 11 kills and six digs as the Guardians picked up a CCC interdivisional win. Game scores were 25-13, 25-11, 22-25, 25-8.

Evelyn Brenton added seven kills and four blocks for Glastonbury (13-4), which has won 12 of its last 13. The Guardians are at Simsbury Monday.

HALL 3, WINDSOR 0. In West Hartford, Hall (8-9) clinched a state tournament berth wits its CCC interdivisional sweep. Game scores were unavailable.

Tajae Daley and Marina Inyatkin combined for 14 kills for Windsor (7-11), which hosts Bloomfield Monday.
