Bolton group seeks grant applications

Jun. 24—BOLTON — The town's Greater Together Community Fund Advisory Committee is looking for project proposals that could receive up to $5,000 in grant support to help with its initiatives.

The committee recently released its first open call for project proposals, and it could issue up to $5,000 to at least one such proposal that benefits the residents of Bolton.

The call for projects is a few years in the making: in 2019, the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving established $100,000 community funds for each of the 29 towns in its service region.

Last year, Bolton's Greater Together Community Fund Advisory Committee was selected, and now that committee is getting ready to dole out grants.

More information about the foundation can be found at

Project applications or grant proposals will be accepted until Sept. 1.
