Whether you are a makeup newbie or a seasoned pro, you’ve heard of and know Bobbi Brown cosmetics.

The brand, which has been around for almost 30 years, has been a go-to for makeup artists and consumers alike, undoubtedly because of the brand’s concerted effort for years to be inclusive.

While Bobbi Brown is definitely more of a prestige/masstige-type of brand, I have to admit there’s a reason why it’s been around for so long.

A few weeks ago, a few beauty editors and I had the opportunity to try out and learn about the brand’s newest innovation, a spin-off of its No. 1 best-selling moisturizer and primer for the face (which is currently on super sale at Nordstrom right now). This time, however, it’s for an area we can often neglect: eyes.

The brand’s new Vitamin Enriched Eye Base is “designed to hydrate, nourish and prime in one smoothing step,” according to Bobbi Brown reps at the press preview. The best part? Because of its multivitamin formulation (which also includes shea butter, vitamins B, C and E) the moisturizing eye cream can be used as both an eye base and a primer for concealer and foundation.

To show us how to use the moisturizing eye cream, Bobbi Brown brought in its special guest and newest addition to its roster, world-renowned makeup artist Mali Thomas. Needless to say, I was extremely excited.

Mali Thomas, also known as King Mali Magic on Instagram, is a leader in the #DewyBrownGirls makeup movement. With her industry knowledge and experience, I’m very excited about how she will lend her expertise to product development and global artist education initiatives over at Bobbi Brown.

From personal experience, I can say that this product goes a long way with minimal effort (which is always the first question I ask when I’m dropping money for it). My under eye area felt extremely hydrated immediately after applying the product and I didn’t get that weird, gunky feeling that some creams leave behind (you know, almost greasy?).

Considering the eye base is based on the brand’s top-performing moisturizer, I have no doubt that this eye cream will quickly become a fan-favorite. It’s already become a fave of mine and it’s only been a few weeks.
