Black Friday is just a few days away but some of the best deals are already here. If you're hoping to upgrade your smartphone situation this holiday season, you might want to check out major carriers—like Verizon and AT&T, for example—whose online stores are running some sensational Black Friday deals all week long.

Verizon

This year, Verizon is offering deals on various smartphones, including the new iPhone 12 and the Google Pixel 4a. Most of these deals involve contract stipulations, rebates, and account credits, so be sure to read the fine print before pulling the trigger.

  • Apple iPhone 12 for free (via credit) and a $300 eGift Card: Qualify for this deal by making the switch to Verizon with a select trade-in phone and opting into Verizon's Get More Unlimited plan. This deal is online only and only applies to the 64GB version of the new iPhone 12. The $300 eGift Card is sent within eight weeks after $100 of the balance is applied to the phone purchase and trade-in credit is applied over the course of 24 months.

  • Google Pixel 4a for free (via credit): This deal does not require a trade-in but you must be switching to Verizon or adding a new line in order to qualify. The rebate is applied to an account over the course of 24 months.

T-Mobile

So far, we're only showcasing two deals from T-Mobile, but the list should grow as Black Friday week progresses. Be sure to pay attention to the details of each deal, as most involve trade-in stipulations and bill credits.

  • Apple iPhone 12 for free (via bill credits): This deal is doled out in the form of bill credits over the course of 30 months, and in order to qualify, a new line must be activated and an eligible iPhone must be traded-in.

  • Apple iPhone 11 for free (via bill credits): T-Mobile is also offering last year's iPhone 11 for free, but only with the purchase of an additional iPhone 11 and the activation of two or more lines. The deal arrives in the form of 24 monthly bill credits for the lower priced device.

AT&T

AT&T is offering an array of Black Friday deals throughout the week, and like the aforementioned offers from Verizon and T-Mobile, most of them involve adding a new line or upgrading an existing line, trading in a used smartphone, and receiving discounts in the form of bill credits. Pay close attention to the fine print!

  • Apple iPhone 12 Mini for free (via bill credits): AT&T is willing to cover the cost of a brand new iPhone 12 Mini (64 GB), but you'll need to trade-in a used, eligible smartphone in good condition and be prepared to receive the savings by way of bill credits over the course of 30 monthly installments.

  • Up to $700 off an Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max (via bill credits): This deal is also contingent upon the trade-in of an eligible smartphone in good condition as well as the activation of a new line or the upgrading of an existing line. The discount takes the form of bill credits which are applied over 30 months.
