Bird Sits In on Philosophy Lecture at Guangxi University
A bird interrupted a lecture at Guangxi University in Southern China, with footage of it happily interacting with the lecturer and students going viral on Chinese social media platform Douyin.
Footage taken by a student, and shared on November 10, shows the bird perched on a desk at the top of the class as a lecturer speaks before the bird then positions itself calmly on the lecturer’s shoulder.
According to a Beijing News report, the bird made a pitstop on some other student’s shoulders during the class, which was focusing on modern Western philosophy.
In the footage seen here, an attempt to set the bird free sees it fly around the class, before landing in one student’s hair. It does, however, eventually leave the place of learning for the wider world. Credit: Lionmobo via Storyful
