Bills not expected to receive any comp picks for 2023 NFL draft

The Buffalo Bills have six total selections at the 2023 NFL draft.

More are unlikely to be added to that via compensatory picks.

The league awards comp picks each year between rounds three and seven to teams who lost more than they gained during free agency the previous offseason.

OverTheCap.com does their best at projecting comp picks for each team every offseason. The football-finance outlet does not think that the Bills will be landing any extra selections.

But Buffalo is helping others great some.

Per OTC’s projections, the Bills could help the Washington Commanders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers grab extra selections because Buffalo signed their pending free agents last offseason.

For Washington, the signee is defensive tackle Tim Settle. In the case of the Buccaneers, tight end OJ Howard, who did not make the Bills out of training camp, is the other.

Without Buffalo receiving any additions picks, here’s the team’s six selections at the upcoming draft as of now:

  • Round 1, Pick 27

  • Round 2, Pick 59

  • Round 3, Pick 91

  • Round 4

  • Round 5 (via Arizona Cardinals)

  • Round 5
