Beyoncé's 'Making the Gift' special reveals rare videos of Blue Ivy, Rumi and Sir Carter

The Beyhive was buzzing on social media Monday night as ABC aired Beyoncé Presents: Making ‘The Gift, a special behind-the-scenes documentary showing the making of her soundtrack inspired by this summer's live-action version of The Lion King.

Beyoncé created The Lion King: The Gift as a love letter to Africa. The soundtrack album was produced and curated by Beyoncé and also features Jay-Z, Childish Gambino, Pharrell, Kendrick Lamar and Blue Ivy, among others.

The stunning documentary took viewers on a journey through Africa and, along the way, were treated to candid footage and interviews spotlighting the hard work and passion that went into creating the companion soundtrack album. However, on top of all that, viewers were totally freaking out over how much Beyoncé and Jay-Z's three children, Blue Ivy, Rumi and Sir, were featured.

It was the most we've ever seen of the couple's 2-year-old twins and of 7-year-old Blue Ivy. In fact, the documentary even captured Blue Ivy laying down vocals for "Brown Skin Girl," lip syncing "Mood 4 Eva" through lens filters with her mother and showing off her dance skills.

Beyoncé cubs aside, the documentary also featured snippets of the singer's amazing singing skills as she laid down opera-inspired background vocals for "Bigger," riffed for "Already" and sang an acoustic version of "Spirit" on the piano. However, the most mind blowing clip revealed that "Mood 4 Eva," was derived from The Lion King classic "Hakuna Matata."

Beyoncé Presents: Making ‘The Giftaired Monday, Sept. 16 at 10 p.m. on ABC.
