The best Black Friday deals on high-end 4K TVs — save more than $4,000

Not all 4K TVs are created equal. The thing about 4K TVs is the more you spend, the bigger the size, the more features and better the picture quality. So if you’re looking for the best “ splurge-worthy” 4K TVs, but you’d still want a good deal, we found quite a few for Black Friday.

The biggest standout among them is this deal on the Sony 85-inch Class BRAVIA 4K (2160P) UHD HDR Dolby Vision Android Smart LED TV (XBR85X850G). Walmart has it on sale for $2,298, or $1,202 off retail. That’s nearly a 35 percent savings!

This 4K TV is the cream of the crop with a humungous 85-inch 4K display, backed with Sony’s BRAVIA technology for images that are vibrant and more true-to-life. This model also features the company’s “Motionflow XR” settings for smoother action when watching live sports and movies, as well as more fluid action when gaming — thanks to its high refresh rate.

It also comes with all the bells and whistles you’d come to expect at this price point, such as built-in Android TV video streaming, live TV, smart home settings via Google Assistant and Dolby Vision support for impressive color and black levels. This 4K TV even gets all the details right with a clever cable management system that hides unsightly cables and wires.

I think Dr. Hammond would also be impressed with this 4K TV, just as long as it doesn’t try to eat him.

“The XBR-85X850G contains a new and updated processor making the Android menu system very fast,” wrote a five-star Walmart reviewer. “Picture quality is top tier for this models intended design (Directly in front viewing with moderate indirect light sources). Contrast and color settings are dynamic out of the box. Hire a competent calibrator for greater color accuracy. Audio quality is good in the middle and high ranges. However, as with all flat panel televisions, its low frequency response is lacking depth at higher volumes. This issue is easily rectified with a sound bar and a stand alone bass reflex speaker. Longevity is the unknown factor as with all new models.”

This delighted shopper added, “Great Picture, super contrast and brightness with excellent separation of colors.”
