Bengals 2021 schedule is one of NFL’s most favorable in terms of travel miles

The Cincinnati Bengals appear to have one of the tougher schedules in the NFL based on certain metrics.

But perhaps more important? The amount of traveling the team will actually have to do.

As ESPN’s Brian Burke pointed out after the NFL released the 2021 schedule, the Bengals will travel the fourth-fewest net miles of any team.

That’s a really nice luxury to have right as fans presumably start getting let back into stadiums.

And the devil’s in the details too. Cincinnati does play three games in a row on the road starting in Week 6, but they’re brief trips to Detroit, Baltimore and New York. One of the team’s major road trips out west — a bout with Las Vegas in Week 11 — sits comfortably after a bye week.

And best of all? The Bengals close the season with five of seven at home. One of the away games in that stretch is in Denver, but the other is merely in Cleveland.

So while the schedule might statistically be tough, the amount of travel is a simple hurdle this time.
