Dec. 4—Emergency Family Assistance Association: This nonprofit is welcoming food donations weekdays between the hours of 8:30 and 11:30 a.m. Come by 1575 Yarmouth Ave. on the north side of the building. Weather permitting, you can leave your donation on a table outside and fill out your own receipt, or you can knock on the door for help. EFAA accepts unopened cans and packages that are no more than one year beyond their date. EFAAasks for nutrient-dense, healthy products. Foods the group needs the most: canned chili, canned fruit and canned vegetables. Our greatest nonfood needs are toothpaste, shampoo and diapers in sizes 5 and 6. There With Care: This nonprofit helps families and children facing critical illness. At the direction of hospital social workers, it is continuing to deliver support to these families. Its wish list includes size 6 baby diapers, baby bottles, baby hygiene items, oatmeal, sweet/salty snacks, pop-top soup, easy mac cups, disinfecting wipes, dish soap and card games. The Found Collective x El Centro Amistad: The Found Collective Winter Marketplace featuring 35+local artisans, makers and local businesses will be held 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday at The Studio Boulder. There will be ceramics, weavings, vintage clothing, fine jewelry, antique furniture, home goods and more. All tickets sales will be matched and donated by local philanthropist The Radical Waves Project to local organization El Centro Amistad, which promotes equity in health, wellness, education and the arts in the Latinx community.
Farm to Table Dinner: Spend an evening eating farm-to-table food served in a cozy setting, while supporting the vision of Dharma's Garden. Chautauqua Art In The Park: The bears are back! This year's Art in The Park bear installation starts Friday and continues through April 16, when you can bid on your favorite bear. Helping Harmonies Benefit Concert: Silver Creek Leadership Academy senior Addy Shevin is hosting the Helping Harmonies Benefit Concert as part of her capstone project. United in Change's Holiday Toy Drive: United In Change will collect toys for families in need and collecting donations for the nonprofit. All toys collected will be given to families spending the holidays in the hospital with their little ones.
