Bemidji Symphony Orchestra seeks executive director

Jan. 26—BEMIDJI — The Bemidji Symphony Orchestra is on the hunt for a new executive director.

The orchestra, a community-based regional orchestra in its 83rd season, is seeking an experienced executive director to work in partnership with the board of directors and other leadership to achieve BSO's mission to enrich and educate musicians and audiences of northern Minnesota through innovative orchestra experiences.

According to a release, the new executive director would report to the board of directors and be responsible for all aspects of the BSO's operations including fundraising, marketing and community relations.

The candidate may also be assigned additional duties in grant research, writing or promotion depending on previous experience, strengths and potential. The job description also emphasizes a passion for the arts and working in a non-profit environment.

The part-time position would require 24-28 hours a week and include flexible hours requiring some evening and weekend work.

Salary is dependent on work experience and is commensurate for an organization of the BSO's size.
