Aug. 17—BEMIDJI — Members of the Professional Fire Fighters Association Local 2302 will collect funds as part of the Fill the Boot program for the Muscular Dystrophy Association from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, at Bemidji Brewing.

"Please join us for Bemidji Brewing's community spotlight night and purchase a beautiful pint glass with an awesome logo," a release said. "When you purchase a pint glass you also get a free pour from any of the famous beers at the taproom."

Funds raised during the event will go toward supporting MDA's vision to accelerate research, advance care and advocate for the support of MDA families.

The International Association of Fire Fighters has collected funds for MDA in the community as part of the Fill the Boot program since 1954, the release said.

The nearly seven-decade partnership between MDA and the International Association of Fire Fighters has raised more than $679 million with involvement from over 300,000 firefighters nationwide, the release said.
