Aug. 11—BEMIDJI — The 35th season of the

Bemidji Area Church Musicians

Summer Recital Series continues at noon on Wednesday, Aug. 17, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 2508 Washington Ave. SE.

The recital will feature Jennifer (Paquette) Ellis. Ellis will play piano and harp. Her program will include several Sinfonias by J.S. Bach, a transcription of a Hungarian Dance, some Celtic music for harp and a hymn medley she has arranged for harp.

Ellis will include an original song by her late brother, arranged for harp. She and her mother, Shar Paquette, will play a piano and organ duet.

Ellis, a Bemidji native, now married and living in West Fargo, is a stay-at-home mom of three girls, volunteers for a local Christian maternity home, and recently joined the board of a new local private Christian school, a release said.

Ellis was awarded a music scholarship by the Bemidji Area Church Musicians when she went to college several years ago, the release added.

A luncheon will follow the recital with a price to be announced, a release said.

The event is free and open to the public, a free-will offering will be received at the door for the scholarship programs of the BACM.
