Beloved Youtuber Keenan Cahill Dead at 27

Keenan rose to fame in 2010 with his creative lip sync videos on Youtube.

Youtube sensation Keenan Cahill has died.

WGN first reported his death. A family spokesperson told the news station that he passed away at the age of 27.

Keenan, who was born in Elmhurst, Illinois, rose to stardom with his entertaining lip sync videos on Youtube back in 2010.

Those videos snagged the attention of Hollywood’s elite, including Jimmy Kimmel and Katy Perry. From there, his Youtube channel became a hot spot for celebrities with the likes of Perry, Jennifer Aniston, 50 Cent, Nick Cannon, Justin Bieber and many more appearing for duets.

Keenan also made a music video appearance in Sara Barilles’ music video for “Uncharted” along with Adam Levine, Sia, and Ryan Tedder. He also performed with LMFAO onstage at the 2011 American Music Awards.

After finding fame, Keenan also worked on original music, with his last upload, titled “Rain” featuring Jillian Jensen, appearing just three weeks ago.

While a cause of death has not been revealed, Keenan, who was diagnosed with Maroteaux–Lamy syndrome, revealed on Instagram that he would be undergoing open heart surgery on December 15.

It was his last social media post, and upon hearing the news of his death, many fans have taken to the comments to mourn, with one fan writing, “Rest In Peace Keenan. Thanks for all the fun you brought to our lives. 😢😔💔”
