Beach Music Festival returning to Aiken this August

Jul. 24—Carolina beach music is returning to Aiken this summer.

The second Beach Music Festival, presented by the Aiken Standard, will be held from 5 to 11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13, at The Village at Woodside, 230 Village Green Blvd.

The festival will feature the Band of Oz performing beach music classics, a shag dancing contest and food vendors.

"The Band of Oz is one of the most successful groups in the Southeast ... The band now features a full horn section to total a dynamic eight-member group," according to the group's website.

Attendees can bring a beach blanket and chairs to sit and enjoy their favorite beach tunes. No coolers or outside food will be permitted.

There will be a cash bar.

The first Beach Music Festival in Aiken was held in 2019.

"We are so excited to be hosting our second Beach Music Festival," said Melinda Caldwell, advertising account executive. "The first one was so much fun and so well attended that we knew we had to do it again. It will be fun for everyone."
