Alphonso Davies proves he's the future of Canadian soccer with golazo
Since they emerged victorious in the 2000 Gold Cup, the Canadian men’s national soccer team hasn’t had anything worth celebrating.
Enter 18-year-old wunderkind Alphonso Davies.
If you haven’t heard of the Edmonton-based winger by now, Davies joined Bayern Munich in July 2018 and has shown flashes of brilliance for the Bundesliga giant.
During the Audi Cup final against Tottenham, while featuring for Bayern, Davies showed why he could very well become the best player to ever earn an international cap for Canada with a golazo from outside the box.
Wow.

The touch, the placement and the pace on this shot are absolutely stunning, and this would be true of any teenage phenom. The fact that Davies is committed to Canada, starring for Bayern against the majority of a Tottenham squad that reached the Champions League Final is downright astonishing.
