BASKETBALL: Wall girls overpower No. 16 Harper at home

WALL -- The Wall High School girls basketball team rolled to a 55-36 nondistrict victory against Harper on Tuesday night.

Wall improved to 6-3, while Harper dropped to 3-2.

Harper is currently ranked No. 16 in Class 2A. The Lady Hawks are unranked in 3A.

Mallory Fuchs and Hannah Burk led the Lady Hawks with 14 and 13 points, respectively.

Kylie Wolsey scored a team-high 14 points for the Lady Longhorns.

Wall led 22-3 after the first quarter and 37-15 at the half.

Lake View boys 69, Ballinger 43

Devyn Paz scored 22 points and Juan Perez had 19, as the Lake View Chiefs rolled to a nondistrict win at Ben Norton gym.

Lake View improved to 5-0.

Paz knocked down four 3-pointers and Perez connected on three.

Deshawn Powell added 10 points for the Chiefs.

Beau Perkins and Jonathan Delgado had 11 points apiece for the Bearcats.

Lake View will co-host the Doug McCutchen Memorial Tournament with San Angelo Central on Thursday through Saturday.

San Angelo Central boys 59, Midland Christian 52

The San Angelo Central Bobcats hung on for a nondistrict victory.

Raven Ortiz (14), Branden Campell (13) and Mathew Cooper (10) scored in double digits to lead the Bobcats.

Central improved to 5-1.

The Bobcats will co-host the Doug McCutchen Memorial Tournament with San Angelo Lake View on Thursday through Saturday.
