Basketball scoreboard: Kersh paces Cherokee Bluff boys in region win over East Forsyth

Dec. 7—Cherokee Bluff's Boston Kersh scored a game-high 21 points as it topped East Forsyth 60-52 on Tuesday in Gainesville.

Also for the Bears, Carlos Marlow added 17 points, while Jhace Justice scored nine points.

Up next, Cherokee Bluff visits Johnson at 8:30 p.m. Friday in Oakwood.

CHEROKEE BLUFF GIRLS 50, EAST FORSYTH 45: Mia Williams had 15 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks for the Lady Bears on Tuesday. Junior Kaitlin Cook had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Up next, Cherokee Bluff visits Johnson at 7 p.m. Friday.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY BOYS 68, FELLOWSHIP CHRISTIAN 33: Justyce Sadler had a team-high 15 points for the Lions on Tuesday.

Jack Collins finished with 13 points for Lakeview Academy, while Tayden Ware and Liam Weidner each chipped in 11 points.

Up next, Lakeview Academy hosts Union County at 5 p.m. Saturday.

LAKEVIEW ACADEMY GIRLS 74, FELLOWSHIP CHRISTIAN 56: Taliah Gaither had 25 points and 14 rebounds for the Lady Lions on Tuesday.

Sidney Corbin finished with 20 points and six rebounds for Lakeview Academy, which rallied back from a double-digit hole after the first quarter.

Dynesty Putman had 12 points for the Lady Lions.

FLOWERY BRANCH GIRLS 63, JACKSON COUNTY 41: Bella Brick went for 30 points and for the second straight game knocked down eight 3-pointers for the Lady Falcons. Amiya Scott scored 13 for Flowery Branch.

Leading 28-23 at halftime, the Lady Falcons outscored the Lady Panthers 23-9 in the third quarter.

Up next, Flowery Branch hosts Clarke Central at 7 p.m. Friday.

FLOWERY BRANCH BOYS 83, JACKSON COUNTY 47: The Falcons had four scorers in double figures Tuesday, led by Jeremiah Ware's 17 points.

Jackson Owens finished with 11 points for Flowery Branch, while Jayden Gudz and Fe Honors each chipped in 10 points.

CHESTATEE GIRLS 74, JOHNSON 14: All 11 players contributed for the Lady War Eagles (4-2, 1-0 Region 8-4A) on Tuesday in Oakwood.
