Baseball movie featuring Dennis Quaid to be filmed in CSRA is seeking extras

Oct. 22—Calling all baseball players in the CSRA: a movie production company is looking for extras.

The movie, "The Hill," chronicles the story of Rickey Hill, a disabled athlete turned baseball professional. The film stars Golden Globe nominee Dennis Quaid as Pastor Hill and comes from the writers of "Hoosiers" and "Rudy."

Filming will take place Nov. 15-22 in Columbia County, Ga. Single- to three-day paid extra positions will be available.

Casting is looking for male former and current high school, college and professional baseball athletes between the ages of 18 and 30. Interested residents can submit a player profile.

Player profile age, locations and photos must be submitted to casting at TheHillMovieCasting@gmail.com.

Vintage cars will also be in need, according to casting. Anyone interested in submitting their car for consideration should email TheHillMovieCasting@gmail.com.

Additional filming for the movie will take place in Augusta and surrounding areas during November and December, according to Film Augusta.
