Bartram Trail QB Riley Trujillo claims first Power 5 offer from Georgia Tech
After a breakout season as Bartram Trail's starting quarterback, Riley Trujillo is officially on the Power Five radar.
Trujillo, a 6-foot-4, 188-pound sophomore, claimed his first P5 verbal offer Wednesday afternoon from Georgia Tech. Yellow Jackets head coach Geoff Collins and defensive assistant Marco Coleman visited Bartram Trail and offered Trujillo on the spot, said Chad Parker, the Bears' running backs coach and recruiting coordinator.

In his first year at the controls of the Bears' offense, following in the footsteps of Wake Forest signee Santino Marucci, Trujillo completed just under 61% of his attempts for 1,115 yards with nine touchdowns and two interceptions. He added 425 yards on the ground with three scores.
Bartram Trail junior cornerback Sharif Denson spoke highly of Trujillo in Tuesday's appearance on the State of Florida Recruiting H.Q. Podcast.
"Every single person should know who Riley is," Denson said. "He is that boy. He's the future. He's the best quarterback in his class, to me."
Trujillo received his first verbal offer on Dec. 6 from Middle Tennessee.
He's part of a deep crop of talented 2024 grads in the Volusia-Flagler-St. Johns area. Mainland wide receiver James Randle — ranked No. 6 among all sophomores in the state of Florida, per 247Sports — headlines the list, along with teammates Zavier Mincey and LJ McCray, DeLand's trio TJ Moore, Javon Ross and MJ Smokes and Flagler Palm Coast linebacker Rodney Hill.
