Authorities seek help in finding Denton County teenager who went missing Tuesday

The Denton County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 16-year-old, according to a tweet from the sheriff’s office.

Gavin Wayne Kniss, who drove a 2013 white Ford Mustang, was last seen at his home just after midnight Tuesday according to the tweet. His family last heard from him around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Kniss stands about 6 feet tall, has curly blond hair, blue eyes and both ears pierced. He has a scar on his forehead, according to the tweet.

The sheriff’s office said it was informed by a friend he might be in Oklahoma City but noted that the information had not been verified. He is known to frequent the Krum and Denton areas.
