Rasnick is accused of firing a gun multiple times at an Alliance house on Milner Street with people inside on Oct. 1, said Alliance police Capt. James Hilles. No one was injured.

The gunfire was in retaliation for a marijuana deal that soured and an assault that occurred, Hilles added.

A felony warrant was issued Oct. 14 charging Rasnick with attempt to commit murder, felonious assault, improperly discharging a firearm at or into a habitation, and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle.

Task force members, including Alliance police, found Rasnick at 11:30 a.m. Friday inside a friend's apartment on Linwood Avenue SW in Canton where he was arrested, Hilles said.

Hilles added authorities found about 60 grams of marijuana along with cash and equipment with Rasnick. A felony charge of trafficking marijuana was added to the other charges, he said.

The friend also was arrested for harboring a fugitive.

Rasnick and his friend were booked into the Stark County Jail.
