Aurora Bike Rodeo for children ages 5 to 12 coming June 4

Children ages 5 to 12 are invited to take part in the Aurora safety Forces 2022 Bike Rodeo on June 4.

The purpose of the event is to help young cyclists practice and develop skills and to be better cyclists and avoid typical crashes.

The event will be in the Leighton Elementary School parking lot, 121 Aurora Hudson Rd., from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration forms can be found online at https://www.auroraoh.com/823/Safety-Forces-Bike-Rodeo or are available for pickup at the Aurora Police Department. Forms can be mailed to Aurora Police Department – Bike Rodeo 100 S. Aurora Rd. Aurora, OH 44202. Deadline is June 1.

Participants will have an opportunity to learn, practice and demonstrate bicycle handling skills in a fun, noncompetitive atmosphere. Children participating in the rodeo will be checked to make sure their helmets are fitting properly and their bikes will be inspected before riding the course.
