CLEAR CREEK TWP. − Christ Community Evangelical Free Church recently hired Chris Strong as associate pastor of Youth & Missional Outreach.

An installation service has been planned for 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 18 at the church, 1272 County Road 758. Guests are invited to join with the church family following the service for a reception.

Strong grew up in Wooster. After High school he went to Toccoa Falls College in Toccoa, Georgia where he graduated with a bachelor's in Youth Ministry. He spent the last three years serving in Portage County as a full-time youth and children’s ministry pastor.

He is engaged to be married in May. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family as well as in the outdoors: camping, hiking, four-wheeling and hunting.

From a very young age Strong felt a call to ministry and has held onto the verse, Philippians 1:21 “For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
