Jun. 13—HIGH POINT — The High Point Arts Council's annual Arts Awards Banquet will be on Thursday, June 24.

Since last year's banquet had to be canceled due to the pandemic, this year the Arts Council will be recognizing two years of award winners in each category: Individual Support of the Arts, Corporate Support of the Arts and Teacher of the Arts. The awards recognize those who have demonstrated commitment in supporting the arts in the High Point area.

In addition to the awards, the Arts Council and its affiliates each recognize a Star Board Member whose light shined the brightest during the year while serving their organization.

Entertainment will be provided by the High Point Ballet performing excerpts from its "Tribute to Broadway" production.

The banquet will be at the Centennial Station Arts Center downtown, 121 S. Centennial St. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., dinner at 7, and entertainment and awards presentations begin at 7:30. The cost is $35 per person, and there will be a cash bar. To make an online reservation visit or call 336-889-2787 ext. 26 by Tuesday, June 22.
