The first trailer for the Discovery+ docuseries House of Hammer, centered on disgraced actor Armie Hammer and his obscenely wealthy family, has been released, and with it comes explosive interviews and thorough documentation regarding his alleged history of sexual abuse.
The preview introduces three on-camera interviewees including two accusers as well as Casey Hammer, the actor’s aunt and the granddaughter of oil tycoon Armand Hammer, who addresses the audience directly by promising to expose the “dark, twisted secrets of the Hammer family.” It also shows threatening text messages allegedly sent from Hammer like “I’m 100% a cannibal,” audio recordings, and a handwritten note saying “I am going to bite the fuck out of you.” While the trailer offers just a hint of the disturbing allegations, they’re even more chilling with the documentary’s wider framing of Hammer’s affluent lineage.
“Magnify Succession a million times and it was my family,” the elder Hammer explains in the clip. “If you believe about making deals with the devil, the Hammer’s are top of the totem pole.” Watch the trailer below.
House of Hammer premieres on September 2nd via Discovery+ and is split into three parts. It was directed by Elli Hakami and Julian P. Hobbs, and Casey Hammer served as an official consultant.

This documentary provides an important platform for the incredibly courageous women who came forward to share their stories, and we hope their courage inspires others to continue meaningful conversations around abuse in our society.”
Armie Hammer has been in a professional free-fall since accusations of cannibalism and fetishism that crossed the line into physical and sexual abuse arose on social media in January 2021. Though he has called these claims “patently untrue” via his lawyer, he has since been accused of rape in Los Angeles. He was last confirmed to have completed a six-month stint in rehab, financed by Robert Downey Jr., and subsequently began working as a timeshare salesman at a Cayman Islands hotel.
