K.J. Jefferson is staying for his senior season.

The quarterback made the announcement on Friday, explaining that he's planning on staying with Arkansas football for the 2023 season.

He thanked his mother, coaches Sam Pittman and Kendal Briles and Razorbacks fans. He ended the announcement with a sentimental statement on fulfilling his dreams.

"I have always loved playing for all of you, and the support you have given me is unmatched," Jefferson wrote in his Instagram post. "With that said, it's time to fulfill my dreams...and my dreams wouldn't be complete without one more year on The Hill. Go Hogs."

The redshirt junior took over as starting quarterback in 2021 and shined throughout the past two seasons. The Razorbacks are 15-8 in games Jefferson started.

Jefferson missed two games this season due to a concussion and shoulder injury, but recorded a career-high 385 passing yards during the Razorbacks' 38-27 win over Missouri State, and had a career-high five passing touchdowns during a 52-35 win over BYU.

Arkansas (6-6, 3-5 SEC) will learn its bowl destination Sunday.
