The Arizona Cardinals' ongoing COVID-19 issues went deeper on Friday.

The team announced Friday afternoon that head coach Kliff Kingsbury, defensive tackle Zach Allen and quarterbacks coach Cam Turner had all tested positive for COVID-19.

Kingsbury, Allen, and Turner will not travel with the team for their Sunday road game against the Cleveland Browns as they enter the COVID protocol.

Cardinals defensive coordinator Vance Joseph and assistant head coach/special teams coordinator Jeff Rodgers will split their head coaching duties. The team's other assistants will fulfill duties where they deem necessary. That includes offensive line coach/run game coordinator Sean Kugler possibly helping with the offensive play-calling.

The Cardinals now have an NFL-high 21 positive COVID tests since training camp began in July.

They are one positive test shy from entering into intensive protocols.

The Cardinals have been 100% vaccinated since early September.

The league protocol requires vaccinated players and personnel who test positive to immediately isolate, and they are not permitted to access club facilities, or have direct contact with players or personnel. Club medical staff are in regular communication with individuals who test positive to monitor symptoms.

The team's vaccinated individuals need to have additional negative tests twice 24 hours apart and must be asymptomatic for 48 hours before they're allowed to return to the team facility. If vaccinated individuals don't return two consecutive negative tests, they may return after 10 days.

Kingsbury met with reporters on Friday morning following Cardinals practice. He was unmasked, but the reporters in the Cardinals media room were masked as they are required to do so.
