Anneka Rice has invited Strictly Come Dancing champion Stacey Dooley for dinner in a bid to get some extra dance lessons.
The 60-year-old Treasure Hunt presenter has been paired with Dooley’s professional dance partner, and now boyfriend Kevin Clifton, for the BBC show and hopes to learn some insider tips to do well on the dancefloor.
Dooley revealed to the Daily Mirror newspaper that Rice had approached her during filming of the Strictly launch show last week, when reigning champions Dooley and Clifton performed a new version of last year’s winning Paso Doble dance.
The 32-year-old documentary maker said Rice was “brilliant”.
Dooley went on: “She went, ‘Darling, we have to have supper, we can have supper soirees’.
“She said, ‘I can’t chasse, they keep asking me to chasse and I don’t know what it is.’ She is so lovely. The loveliest lady.”
She added: “I’ve never had supper in my life. I’ve had tea and toast.”
Meanwhile, 19-year-old YouTube star Saffron Barker had confessed she is already struggling in dance rehearsals as she is experiencing dizziness and nausea.
The fashion vlogger and form girlband member has been partnered with 24-year-old professional dancer AJ Pritchard for the BBC One dance competition.
Speaking about Strictly rehearsals to MailOnline, Barker said: “It started this morning, it’s already intense I’ve got so many cuts on my feet. I don’t even know how I’ve got these heels on now to be honest. It’s intense but it’s really fun.
“I thought I’d be able to pick it up quite quickly, that isn’t necessarily happening. The thing that happens is that I get so dizzy. I was saying to AJ is this something you get used to, but the problem is I feel like I’m gonna throw up every minute.”
