Andrew Ready and Chris Ready had 16.70 pounds to win first place during the Wednesday Open Bass Series tournament on Nov. 23 on the Winter Haven North Chain. Justin Jones and John White took second place with 11.10 pounds. Craig Johnson and Jaxon Johnson were third with 11.80 pounds. Andrew Ready also had big bass with a 5.14-pounder.

Weston Marsh and Landon Marsh had 15.10 pounds and also had big bass with a 5.70-pounder to win the Country Boys Fishing LLC Club Benefit Tournament for the family of Polk County Sheriff’s Deputy Blaine Lane on Nov. 20 on the Winter Haven Chain. Timothy Helms and Rick Helms took second place with 13.10 pounds. Danny Glisson and Daniel Smith placed third with 12.14 pounds.

Upcoming Tournaments

The 2022 Bobby Lane High School Cup Tournament will be held on Dec. 3, on the Kissimmee Chain out of Camp Mack. The tournament is open to all junior and high school-age anglers. YouTube social media personality “Jiggin’ With Jordan” will be attending the tournament to meet youth anglers and sign autographs. There are two divisions. High School Division (grades 9-12) and Youth Division (ages 14 and under) with age as of Dec. 3, 2022. There is a two-student team format, plus boat captain/coach. The next Florida Bass Club Survivor Series tournament is on Dec. 3 on the Winter Haven Chain out of the Lake Rochelle ramp. Anglers must pay a one-time club membership fee of $50. Tourney entry fee is $100 per boat. Optional big bass side pot fee is $10 and optional big bag weight side pot fee is $20. The Central Florida Slay Nation Open Open Tournament is on Dec. 3 on Crooked Lake out of the public ramp on Little Crooked Lake. The tourney is open to small vessels only. Kayaks, canoes and john boats with no gas-powered vessels are allowed. Launch is at 6:30 a.m. and the tourney ends at 2:30 p.m. Entry fee is $55 and anglers must pre-register at TourneyX. The ninth annual Toys for Tots 4-Man Team Open Tournament is on Dec. 4. at Lake Kissimmee out of the Camp Mack Guy Harvey Resort. Tournament fee is $260 per team. Anglers must fish as teams of four in two separate boats. Each angler is asked to please bring a new unwrapped toy for donation. The next Toho First Sunday of the Month Team Trail tournament is on Dec. 4 on Lake Toho out of the city ramp. This tournament is open to the first 50 boats. The next Country Boys Fishing LLC Sunday Open tournament is on Dec. 4 on Lake Parker out of the Lake Parker Park ramp. Time is safe light to 12 p.m. Entry fee is $30 a boat including big bass. For more information, call Randy Stone at 863-808-7275.

The next Wednesday Open Bass Series tournament is on Dec. 7 on the Winter Haven South Chain out of the Lake Summit public ramp. Entry fee is $30 per boat with 100% payback with exemptions. The Fishing Misfits will host an open tournament on Dec. 10 on Lake Parker out of the Lake Parker Park ramp. No boats allowed over 115 horsepower and no pro anglers or guides are permitted. The next CATCH’EM CRAPPIE tournament, held by Hoppy’s Marine, is on Dec. 10 on the Kissimmee Chain out of Port Hatchineha. Time is safe light to noon. Up to four anglers per boat with a $60 fee per boat, plus $5 ramp fee. Heaviest six fish go toward place prizes and big fish. The next Sunshine State Crappie Trail tournament is on Dec. 10 at Lake George. One-time season membership fee is $50 and tournament entry fee is $100.
