Two stars of the last season of the hit reality CBS show “The Amazing Race,” Will Jardell and James Wallington, are now husband and husband.

Will Jardell and James Wallington made it official on Friday, in a ceremony attended by several of the couple’s season 32 castmates — and officiated by Olympic-medalist Kellie Wells, who was part of the second duo to be eliminated in the season.

“Now that the moment is over, we can breathe, we can celebrate, we wipe all the joyful tears and start our new lives as husbands!” the couple told People. “We are overjoyed and feel so incredibly loved. We couldn’t be happier.”

Last year, after detours, roadblocks, double U-turns — and 33,000 miles traveled — the couple won the coveted title of “Race” winners, receiving the $1 million check that goes along with it.

The season finale of the Emmy-winning show — which features 11 teams going on a race around the world — aired on Dec. 16, 2020. Filming concluded nearly a year before that, however.

Team Will & James arrived in New Orleans from Manila, the capital of the Philippines on Dec. 3, 2018. After successfully completing the leg’s tasks — which involved collecting beads atop a Mardi Gras parade float and finding a tiny king cake baby inside a mountain of king cakes — the two ran into the Mercedes-Benz Superdome where the entire cast received them with cheers and applause.

That’s where Jardell got down on one knee and proposed to Wallington — making them the first same-sex couple to get engaged on the show.

“This moment has been a long time coming and it’s such a relief to FINALLY be married and call ourselves husbands,” the newlyweds told Us magazine after their ceremony Friday. “The best part is having everyone we love in the same space to be a part of this special moment.”

Season 32 co-stars Eswar Dhinakaran and Aparna Dhinakaran; DeAngelo Williams and Gary Barnidge; Kaylynn Williams and Haley Williams; Leo Folsom and Alana Folsom; Michelle Newland and Victoria Newland were in attendance.

Some “Race” alums from past seasons — and even other countries (Kristen McKenzie, Canada) — were also part of the guest list.

Jardell, 31, and Wallington, 32, first met in 2014 in another reality TV show.

Wallington worked at “America’s Next Top Model,” and Jardell was a contestant on cycle 21 of the Tyra Banks-created model search competition. Their proposal was a reality-TV producer’s dream.

“I knew that I was going to [propose] while we were on the show, but James had no idea,” Jardell told People. “I told the producers ‘I’m going to propose to James while we’re running around the world,’ just because this show is his dream — childhood dream,” he said.

“And then it all just worked out perfectly that it was at the finish line when we won,” he added.

Wallington said that the moment was “an out-of-body experience.”
