Amari Cooper works sideline toe-tap magic twice on Cowboys TD drive

The Dallas Cowboys dug an early 14-0 hole at home Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.

But they got back into the game in the second half thanks in part to looking to one of the NFL’s best receivers. Dallas took a 21-20 third-quarter lead with a touchdown made possible by the nimble hands and talented toes of Amari Cooper before eventually losing 28-24.

If it ain’t broke ...

The Cowboys moved into Vikings territory on the drive thanks to a 23-yard sideline grab from Cooper that saw the receiver haul in a Dak Prescott pass with his toes just in bounds.

Four plays later, Prescott and Cooper repeated the connection, this time for a touchdown. Once again, Prescott rolled out right and placed the ball along the sideline where only Cooper could catch it.

Once again, Cooper snagged the ball and tapped both of his toes in bounds to secure the score.

Toward the end of his time in Oakland, Cooper was being hailed as a first-round disappointment.

Halfway through his second season in Dallas, he looks well on his way to a second-straight Pro Bowl nod.
