Altoona's new Texas Roadhouse gets an opening date
Altoona's new Texas Roadhouse opens Monday.
The steakhouse chain, 2363 Adventureland Drive N.W., will be open for dinner 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays, according to a news release.
The restaurant will be open for both lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
Texas Roadhouse is training staff and hosting invitation-only events this week to raise money for the American Cancer Society as employees and local first responders are the first to try items off the menu, including steak, ribs, bread and several made-from-scratch sides.
The company hired 200 employees to staff the Altoona restaurant.
This is the third metro location for Texas Roadhouse, joining a West Des Moines location and an Urbandale location with a Johnston mailing address.
