Allen County Agriculture Hall of Fame to induct two

May 28—ALLEN COUNTY — Steiner Stock Farm and Wallace Winegardner will be inducted into the Allen County Agriculture Hall of Fame on Tuesday, July 11 at 6 p.m. in the City Club. Tickets are $50.

The Steiner Stock Farm is a standard bred harness, racehorse farm that dates back to 1885. Wallace Winegardner has been farming in Allen County for more than 68 years. This will be the 10th induction class. The chamber's agri-business committee co-chair Russ Decker stated that "our goal with the Hall of Fame is to annually recognize local agriculturalists that have been instrumental to the success and excellence in Allen County, either as a farmer or in an agricultural-related field."

Money from all of the ticket sales will be given to the Junior Fair Board. Nutrien has underwritten the banquet costs. The Hall of Fame will recognize people who have had a long-standing dedication to agriculture in the local community and then will help with funding the Junior Fair Board, which is the future of agriculture in Allen County.

Tickets are available online at limachamber.com or by calling the Chamber at 429-222-6045.
