Alec Baldwin is often the one making the jokes when he plays President Trump on Saturday Night Live, but he was the butt of them on Sept. 7, as a panel of celebrities, including daughter Ireland Baldwin and actor Robert De Niro, burned him at the Comedy Central Roast of Alec Baldwin.

Will & Grace star Sean Hayes hosted the event, which was taped for broadcast next week, at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, Calif. Guests arrived to find a box of refreshments, including “Chocolate Schweddy Balls,” a nod to one of Baldwin’s most famous SNL sketches, in their seats.

The panel of roasters included: Caitlyn Jenner, whose daughters attended school with Ireland; Saturday Night Live cast member Chris Redd; NBA player and Kendall Jenner ex Blake Griffin; actress and comedian Caroline Rhea; comedian Nikki Glaser; professional roaster Jeff Ross; comedian Adam Carolla; and actor Ken Jeong, from The Hangover and Dr. Ken. (Lady Gaga also made an appearance via a video message thanking Baldwin and Comedy Central for donating $1 million on the occasion to Exploring the Arts, a nonprofit funded by Tony Bennett and Susan Benedetto.)

Some of the best lines of the night were about more than just Baldwin, although he took burn after burn. The jokes about him mostly centered on his relationship with his daughter — that infamous “thoughtless little pig” voicemail — and the time he was removed from a flight for refusing to turn off his phone.

As the night’s host, Hayes was the first to take a shot at Baldwin. “Don’t worry, Alec,” he began. “Nothing said here tonight will be meaner than what you said on your daughter’s voicemail.”

Rhea teased Baldwin, “Your wife, Hilaria, is in great shape, but who wouldn’t be after pushing around a 200-pound baby all day?”

Ireland joked that the 30 Rock alum “wasn’t the kind of dad who would play catch, but he would throw things at me.”

De Niro, meanwhile, brought up Baldwin’s history of becoming enraged at the paparazzi. “I once saw him take a selfie and punch his own face,” he said.

Both Ross and a surprise roaster, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, mocked Baldwin’s work as Trump.

“What was it like to play Trump?” Triumph asked. “All that anger. All that narcissism. How did you dial it down?”

Ross got laughs when he quipped, “What most people don’t realize is that, for the last three years, Trump has been doing an impression of Alec Baldwin.”

At the end of the night, Baldwin performed “My Way” with singer Paul Anka by his side.

Jenner also took some jabs. Glaser made a joke about the former Olympian’s relationship with her children, quipping, “Even Casey Anthony knows the current location of her daughter. Seriously, Stevie Wonder sees his sons more than you do.”

When it was his turn at the dais, Griffin, too, brought up Jenner’s kids, specifically daughters Kylie and Kendall Jenner. He said, “On behalf of the NBA and half of the rappers on the Billboard charts, I want to thank you for giving your daughters their daddy issues.”

The Comedy Central Roast of Alec Baldwin premieres Sept. 15 at 10 p.m. on Comedy Central.
