Alabama softball vs. Chattanooga: Live score updates from NCAA Tournament regional

Alabama softball takes on Chattanooga (30-26) in the loser's bracket of the Tuscaloosa regional at 7 p.m. CT (TV TBD), the second time the two has faced off this weekend.

The Crimson Tide (42-12) saw its 44-game regional win streak snapped with the shutout, 6-0 loss to Stanford earlier Saturday. Montana Fouts (23-7, 2.03 ERA) picked up the loss after allowed six earned runs, three in the first frame. Jenna Johnson will likely pick up a spot in the ESPN Sportscenter top-10 with a running catch at the wall.

The Mocs advanced with a 1-0, eight inning win over Murray State. The two were scoreless until the eighth inning after a brief lightning delay in the fifth inning. Junior Brooke Parrott pitched 7 2/3 innings allowing no runs and three hits.

If Alabama wins, it will advance to the championship round Sunday at 1 p.m. CT (TV TBD). The Crimson Tide needs to beat Stanford twice on Sunday to advance to the super regional round.
