The Crimson Tide (42-12) beat Chattanooga (30-26) 3-0 on Friday afternoon followed by a Stanford (37-19) come-from-behind 3-1 victory over Murray State (40-17-1) in the first round of the Tuscaloosa regional.
Stanford (38-19) advanced to the regional final with a 6-0 win over the Crimson Tide earlier on Saturday. Chattanooga beat Murray State 1-0 in extra innings in the first elimination game.
Alabama (44-12) beat the Mocs (30-27) in the second elimination game 6-2 behind a Jenna Johnson solo home run in the first inning. The Crimson Tide offense plated runners in five of the seven innings Saturday night.
The Crimson Tide forced a game seven in the regional final after shutting out Stanford 4-0 early Sunday morning. Montana Fouts pitched her 20th complete game of the season, while Kyleigh Haney extended the Alabama lead to four runs in a pinch-hit six inning double.
