Alabama remains a projected one seed despite Oklahoma loss
The Alabama Crimson Tide (18-3) dropped only their third game of the season on Saturday to the Oklahoma Sooners by a score of 93-69. The Tide struggled to muster up much offense in the first half and Oklahoma jumped out to an early lead and never looked back.
Despite the loss, ESPN’s bracketology expert, Joe Lunardi, still projects the Tide to be a one-seed in March Madness along with Purdue, Houston and Tennessee. The Tide and Volunteers will meet in a few weeks on Feb. 15 in Knoxville.
Fortunately, the loss didn’t come in SEC play and truly doesn’t affect much outside of seedings and rankings. Alabama will have a chance to bounce back on Tuesday against Vanderbilt.
