AJ Tracey's 'Flu Game' Album Has Arrived f/ Digga D, Kehlani, NAV & More

·2 min read

He’s been building up to this for a little while now, but today AJ Tracey’s Flu Game album has finally arrived—following his self-titled debut in 2019—alongside visuals for its latest single, “Little More Love”.

The album’s title makes reference to the now-legendary Game 5 of the 1997 NBA finals, where Michael Jordan famously powered through a debiliating bout of flu to lead the Chicago Bulls to victory against the Utah Jazz. With the odds stacked well against Jordan and the Bulls, the fact that he pulled through for such a resounding victory made it one of his most legendary feats.

In giving his album the title Flu Game, it’s safe to say AJT considers this his crowning achievement so far.

Given the major chart success of “Dinner Guest” with MoStack and “Bringing It Back” with Digga D, plus a tracklist that boasts features from T-Pain, Kehlani, NAV, SahBabii, Millie Go Lightly and Mabel, you can begin to see why he considers this album such a resounding victory.

Production-wise, AJ called on 5ive Beatz, AoD, Fred Again.., JBJ, Kazza, Mark Raggio, Nyge, Pxcoyo, Remedee, RyFy, Swidom, Take A Daytrip, TheElements, Yoz Beatz and Yung Swisher. The rapper also contributed some of his own production talents to “Eurostep” and co-produced “Dinner Guest” with TheElements, and we even get to hear him sing on a couple of tunes.

The video for “Little More Love”, co-directed by AJ himself with KC Locke, sets AJ as a baller who’s just signed a deal with fictional team Revenge Athletic. Looking to celebrate his success, he heads to the club so he can kick back with a nice, fat cigar—just like MJ. Glossy and lavish, it’s a deftly executed visual and the perfect jewel in the project’s crown.
