adidas’ brand new Ultraboost 22 collection is what runners have been waiting for

The Ultraboost shoe collection is a staple for the athletic brand for good reason. The designs are not only aesthetically appealing, but they feature responsive cushioning and a supportive heel counter. And just when you think they can’t get any better, they do — especially when it comes to the women’s shoe.
To develop the Ultraboost 22, adidas utilized more than 1.2 million foot scans as an anatomy database for a 360-degree female fit improvement. This means that the new Ultraboosts have 4% more energy return than the Ultraboost 21.
adidas has tested hundreds of prototypes, re-engineered the rubber outsole and tweaked every detail to get to the Ultraboost 22 — and it’s pretty spectacular.
Plus, both the male and female Ultraboost 22s are made in part with Parley ocean plastic, so you can feel good about doing something good for the earth. According to the brand, the shoe’s “upper is made with a high-performance yarn which contains at least 50% Parley Ocean Plastic — reimagined plastic waste, intercepted on remote islands, beaches, coastal communities and shorelines, preventing it from polluting our ocean. The other 50% of the yarn is recycled polyester.”
The Ultraboost 22s retail for $190 and feature a regular fit, a classic lace-up closure, a soft heel and a BOOST midsole. Currently, you can shop the women’s shoe in six colors and the men’s shoe in five colors.
