Adele calls postponed Vegas residency 'worst moment in my career,' dishes on Rich Paul love

Adele was set to take over Las Vegas with her new residency earlier this year before she announced its postponement the night before it was set to start.
The "Weekends with Adele" shows at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace were supposed to run from Jan. 21 through April. The show had months of planning and rehearsals and thousands of ticket holders were set to hear her perform.
Despite everything at stake, the "Easy On Me" singer told Elle magazine in a cover story published Monday that she knew the show lacked authenticity.
“There was just no soul in it,” Adele said. “The stage setup wasn’t right. It was very disconnected from me and my band, and it lacked intimacy. And maybe I tried too hard to give it those things in such a controlled environment.”

The 34-year-old Grammy-winning artist posted a teary Instagram video announcing the cancelation on Jan. 20, the day before its debut.
“It was the worst moment in my career, by far,” Adele said. “I was so excited about those shows. It was devastating.”
Adele faced backlash for her the last-minute decision, especially when many had already made accommodations or were already in Sin City. Adele said on BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs on Sunday that she was a "shell of a person for a couple of months" after letting fans down.
In July, she announced the rescheduled dates of the residency, which will now commence on Nov. 18 with shows through March 25. Adele designed the show herself collaborating with Stufish, the British entertainment architecture firm that worked on her Brit Awards performance.
But now she's ready to do the show justice by telling "the story of the beginning of my career to now."
“The first couple of months was really, really hard,” Adele said. “I was embarrassed. But it actually made my confidence in myself grow, because it was a very brave thing to do. And I don’t think many people would have done what I did. I’m very proud of myself for standing by my artistic needs.”

She is now as happier than ever both professionally and personally. In addition to her pride for her new show, Adele is also head over heels for her sports agent boyfriend Rich Paul.
"I've never been in love like this," Adele said "I'm obsessed with him."
Rumors of the pair's romance began in summer 2021 when they attended an NBA Finals game together in Phoenix. The couple confirmed their relationship on Instagram in September.
"I definitely want more kids," said Adele, who shares her 9-year-old son, Angelo, with her ex-husband Simon Konecki. "I'm a homemaker and I’m a matriarch, and a stable life helps me with my music. But right now, all I got in my brain is Vegas."
Adele also clarified whether she's engaged to Paul, denying rumors that the pair is headed to the altar.
The singer was spotted wearing a pear-shaped diamond ring at the 2022 Brit Awards. She said she would love to get married again one day, but as of now she's "not engaged. I just love high-end jewelry, boy!"
“I’m not married," Adele told Elle. “I’m just in loooove! I’m happy as I’ll ever be. I might as well be married.”
