8th Street Church of God to celebrate 96th anniversary

Eighth Street Church of God on Sunday will kick-off several days of celebrating its 96th anniversary.

The 11 a.m. Sunday morning worship service at the church at 605 NW Eighth St., will feature guest speaker Bishop Anthony Pelt, state overseer of the office in Cocoa. The church's pastor, Bishop Isaiah Johnson, will preside over the service.

There will be other services throughout the week to celebrate the church's milestone.

• 7:30 p.m., Monday: Apostle Danny Nunn of Deliverance Revival Outreach Church will be the guest speaker.

• 7:30 p.m., Wednesday: Bishop Kelvin Cobaris, state evangelism director, will be the guest speaker.

• 7:30 p.m., Friday: Apostle LeRoyal Edmondson of The Elevation Church from Warner Robins, Georgia, will be the guest speaker.

No services will be held on Jan. 25 and Jan. 27 so the church can be sanitized.
