74-year-old man arrested in connection with double shooting in Pima County

Authorities arrested a 74-year-old man identified as Leslie Parker on suspicion of a shooting that killed one and injured another at the victims' Catalina residence on Thursday.

Pima County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a residence near Columbus and Mainsail boulevards for a shooting, according to department spokesperson Deputy James T. Allerton.

When deputies arrived on scene, they found a man and a woman with gunshot wounds, Allerton said.

The man was identified as 53-year-old Paul Koch, who was pronounced dead on scene. The woman was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Parker was located at a nearby residence early Friday morning.

He was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder and booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex.
