The median weekly earnings of the U.S. worker (full-time wage and salary workers) were $1,041 for the second quarter of 2022, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported.

Although that's an increase of 5.2% from the year before, the number is chump change compared to the weekly salaries of NFL players.

GOBankingRates looked at the top 10 weekly salaries in the NFL in 2022, and the numbers are rather eye-opening. These are some of the top players in the NFL, but a seven-figure weekly salary is still quite a big number.

Methodology: For this piece, GOBankingRates used Spotrac's 2022 NFL base salary rankings data to find the 15 highest-paid players in terms of 2022 base salary. This figure was then divided across the 18-week NFL season to give each player a weekly game check amount, which was the determining factor in the final rankings. All data was collected and is up to date as of September 26, 2022.
