BOYNE FALLS — The 45th annual Northern Michigan Gospel Music Festival kicks off next week and will take place from Aug. 5-6 on U.S. 131 just three miles north of Boyne Falls on the Northern Michigan Antique Flywheelers grounds.

The show starts at 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 5 and will go until 11 p.m. Saturday night music starts at 4 p.m. and goes until 10 p.m.

Friday night will see The Foresters from Nashville, Calvary Heirs from Kentucky, The Maendel Family from Petoskey, Gloria Lynne and the Sojourner Quartet.

Saturday night groups set to perform include Souls Harbor, The Maendel Family, Chose, Mary Ann Garza, The Thurstons and the Faithful Journey Quartet. All of Saturday's performers are from Michigan.

Each night will culminate in all of the groups joining one another on stage.

All of the music will take place under the covered pavilion. However, it is suggested you bring your own chair. Food concession and kids activities will also be available.

The festival is also free. However, there is a $30 weekend camping fee for those that with to camp through the weekend.
