The names of the 39 Vietnamese victims who were found dead in a refrigerated lorry in Essex last month have been released.

Essex Police say that the family members of the victims have been informed after working with Vietnamese police and the Coroner to formally identify the 31 men and eight women who were smuggled into Britain, but perished along the way.

Among the victims were two 15-year-old boys and a young woman who sent a final heartbreaking text to her mother reading, "I'm dying because I can't breath".

"I'm sorry mom. My path to abroad doesn't succeed.

“Mom, I love you so much! I'm dying bcoz I can't breath...I'm from Nghen, Can Loc, Ha Tinh, Vietnam... I am sorry, Mom", it read.

The message was from 26-year-old Pham Thi Tra and the two 15-year-old boys were named as Dinh Dinh Binh from Hai Phong and Nguyen Huy Hung from Ha Tinh.

Their bodies were found on the Waterglade Industrial Estate in a container which had been shipped to nearby Purfleet from Zeebrugge in Belgium on the 23rd October after they had allegedly paid up to £30,000 to traffickers, hoping of a better life in the UK.
