3 upcoming road closings in Butler County

May 17—Orange cones and road closed signs are multiplying in Butler County and the engineer's office has announced a new round of closings, including a big one in Liberty Twp.

Here are upcoming road closings:

Morman Road in Hanover Twp. — beginning May 17

There will be a CSX railroad crossing repair on Morman Road 0.55 miles north of Stahlheber Road and 0.45 miles south of Ohio 130 for a crossing repair beginning Monday. The road will be closed to all through traffic and is tentatively scheduled to reopen on May 23, 2021.

Detour: Northbound Morman Road traffic will detour east on Stahlheber Road, north on Boyle Road, and west on S.R. 130. Southbound traffic will reverse this route.

Springfield Road in Reily Twp. — beginning May 17

Springfield Road will close today 0.3 miles west of North Weaver Road and 0.5 miles east of Gray Road for a culvert replacement. The road will be closed to all through traffic and is tentatively scheduled to reopen on May 19, 2021.

Detour: Eastbound Springfield Road traffic will detour south on State Line Road, east on Peoria Reily Road, and north on Weaver Road. Westbound traffic will reverse this route.

Millikin Road at Lesourdsville West Chester Road in Liberty Twp. — beginning May 24

The intersection of Millikin Road, Lesourdsville West Chester Road (south leg), and Pinckney Trail will close for a single-lane roundabout installation beginning next week. The 12-week intersection improvement project will also include the installation of lighting and a storm sewer system.

During this closure, local access will be maintained for residents and emergency vehicles up to the project limits however, drivers will not be able to pass through the actual construction zone. Millikin Road will remain open to northbound Lesourdsville West Chester Road from Ohio 747. The detour will be posted for all through traffic.

Detour: Eastbound Millikin Road traffic will detour south on S.R. 747, east on Princeton Road, and north on Yankee Road. Westbound traffic will reverse this route.
