Day camps offer children a chance to pursue their interests, learn something new and even keep up with academics. June 5 – Aug. 4. Rising grades K4 – 8. Camps for every arts lover include 3D Drawing, acting, Broadway, T-shirt quilt, scrapbooking, cartooning, ceramics, jewelry making, painting, sewing, origami and more. More than 150 week-long full- and half-day camps are offered, with early care and after care options.

  • Magical Mornings: June 5 – 30, 9 a.m. – noon, Monday – Friday. Ages 3-5, preschool and rising kindergarteners. Students participate in weekly themes to help put on a show by learning a dance, completing daily crafts and reciting a story that they help create. Each week ends with an in-studio performance.

  • Broadway Bound: June 5 – 30 (Descendants) or July 5 – Aug. 4 (Matilda) 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Monday – Friday. Ages 6 and older, rising grade 1 and older. Students participate in creating and putting on a show in four weeks, learning scenes, choreography, music and exploring behind the scenes by assisting in set painting, prop design and costumes. Each session ends with a performance.

  • Theatre Camp – Ages 9 – 13, 9 a.m. – noon, June 5 – 9. Ages 5 – 8, 9 a.m. – noon, July 10 – 14. Students immerse themselves in the world of theatre, both on and off stage. With the help of experienced counselors, campers will participate in a mini production where they will not only be the cast but also the writers, set designers and make-up artists. They will prepare an original script, build a set, put together a performance, and perform for family and friends. $105 per week for YMCA members / $130 for non-YMCA members.

Arts In Action summer camps are multi-disciplinary, full-day (9 a.m. – 4 p.m.) arts camps for children ages 5 – 10. Camp includes a wide variety of activities such as swimming, arts and crafts, STEM projects, Camp Readers Program, a daily devotion and more. Camp maintains a 12:1 child to staff ratio.

CCES Summer Encounters offers 250 unique summer camps held on the campus of Christ Church Episcopal School. City of Greenville Parks and Recreation Super Summer Camp, greenvillesc.gov/summer. June 4 – July 28 (no camp July 4 – 5), 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. Ages 6 – 12 (must be rising grades 1 – 6 for 2023-2024 academic year).

Each week, campers will enjoy activities, arts and crafts, games, educational programs and field trips around Greenville. A healthy lunch will be provided each day. Registration is open Feb. 6 – 20 for returning campers and opens Feb. 21 for city and non-city residents. The cost is $455 for city residents and $550 for non-city residents. A non-refundable deposit of $150 is due at registration.

This hands-on experience includes learning basic horsemanship skills such as grooming, daily horseback riding, games with miniature horses, finger painting with horses, hands-on horse care, and other horse-related adventures. A unique approach combines therapeutic activities with Biblical teachings that help promote spiritual growth.

Campers will train and learn procedures such as general safety rules, how to respond to aquatic emergencies, and buddy checks. Campers will also complete American red Cross CPR and First Aid certification. Campers must be at least 11 years old and be able to swim at least 100 yards continuously, any stroke. $105 per week for YMCA members / $145 for non-YMCA members.

  • Junior Triathlon Camp – Ages 7 – 11: noon – 3 p.m. June 12 – 16, June 26 – 30. Triathlon Camp and Jr. Tri Camp prepare and train athletes to complete triathlon events. $105 per week for YMCA members / $145 for non-YMCA members.

Students will be awarded a medal and certificate of participation at the end of camp.

  • Ninja Camp – June and July. Ages 4 and older. Core muscle control is essential for superhero strength. Build strength with chin-ups, box jumps, handstand walks and more. Side rolls, height drop, kong, strides, step vault, climbing, flipping are all a part of this camp. Students will receive a cool Ninja Monkey achieve band.

  • Athlete Boot Camp July. Ages 6 and older. Train like an athlete with fitness goals for overall sports agility. Work on balance, speed, flexibility, and reflexes which are all necessary for any sport.

  • Cheer and Tumble Camp – July. Ages 4 and older. Includes fundamentals of cheer, tumbling, stunts, motions, dance, jumps and more. Campers will learn a dance routine, cheers and chants with stunts and jumps incorporated and more. A certificate of participation and a Foothills CHEER Bow will be given at the end of the camp week.
