2022 sal speeches, ACHS's Emily Gumm: High school built faith, confidence

If you know anything about me or my family, you know I've been called Lauren at least five times today already.

You probably also have said or heard someone say, "You're John Paul's sister?!" You could probably also predict that I'm going to ACU. Predictable isn't necessarily a bad thing. Predictable can be a good thing. God's love is something we can predict no matter the circumstance.

It doesn't take much for us to acknowledge the world is unpredictable. We have multiple first hand experiences of the craziness the world causes. Putting all our faith and hope in things of this world will leave us feeling chaotic and overwhelmed.

My time at ACS has affirmed my faith and my confidence in things above rather than things here.

So although "predictable" is considered a negative thing by some, I will continue to cling to the predictability of His goodness as I go from this place.
